Coven Craft + Creation
Estimated ritual time: 2 hours
Greetings from The Liminal Space that is Winter — chances are you’re already here, in this frozen darkness, in this sleeping hemisphere, poised at the intersection of death and rebirth, dormancy and awakening. Time feels slower, the air sharp and bright, the edges of the world thinner than ever. This month, we invite you to linger at this threshold and embrace the creative spark that emerges from the stillness.
The February Ritual Box is a call to adorn, craft, and conjure magic with your own hands, turning this liminal space into one of beauty and transformation.
What's Inside:
Hand-poured EM Candle
Ceramic Altar
John Derian Sticker Book
Mod Podge, paint pots, and paint brush
Celestial collage papers and rhinestones
Garnet mushroom cluster
If you participated in last month’s ritual, your intentions are honed, your side of the street swept clean. If reflection has yet to find you in the new year, perhaps your creative process will serve as a mirror, revealing what lies beneath. Either way, the mind takes a backseat now—intuition, artistry, and the raw pull toward beauty are the forces that lead.
Prepare your crafting space somewhere comfortable. Lay out all your materials with the altar in the center and your garnet mushroom at the helm. Set it up in such a way that it is okay to be messy.
Your bespoke Everyday Magic candle is an invocation of clarity, breath, and sacred stillness. Infused with rosemary, the ancient herb of memory and vision, frankincense, the resin of reverence and transcendence, and eucalyptus, crisp and purifying as winter air, this blend awakens the senses while grounding the spirit. Light it to summon focus, to clear the unseen, and to open your creative portal.
As you light the candle, recite the following spell for going into creative channel:
Temperance, hand on the chalice and blade,
Blend light with shadow and let neither fade.
Muse of chaos, form, and fire,
Lend voice to root, to wing, to lyre.
I go not by compass, I go not by name,
But by beauty’s whisper, the gold in the vein.
Through shimmer, through shadow, through silver-lit seam,
I walk where the veils unspool into dream.
What calls me, I chase not, nor beckon, nor bind,
For that which is woven arrives by design.
Let what is formed be carved in the deep,
let what is spoken be something that keeps,
let what is planted take root and increase,
something of marrow, of mirror, of me.
Explore your materials. See what in the book calls to you. Cut out everything you feel even remotely drawn to. Adorn it as you wish. Cover in rhinestones or gild with gold leaf. Listen to music, or have a show on in the background. Snacks encouraged. This is not a rigid ritual, but one of play.
When your altar is complete, return to silence. Put away your materials and clean up your crafting area. Place your garnet mushroom on the altar with the candle in front of it. Recite the following:
What’s forged is held, what’s drawn remains,
expanding the vision to mirrored domains.
What lingers in shadow, what hums in the flame,
What stirs in the quiet yet calls me by name,
What’s gilded, what’s broken, what’s offered with hands,
Let art hold its weight in the heart it commands
An earthen jewel, a crimson crown,
Rooted in heaven, yet calling it down.
The altar sanctified by night and by day,
In image and beauty, the truth finds its way.
Temperance, pour the sky into sea,
Split the night from the dawn, make passage for me.
Place the altar on an existing altar, or let it stand alone as its own sacred space.
So be it, so it is <3
